Nov. 22, 2022 update – The petition for the addition was approved.

Nov. 21, 2022 –  A petition to expand the popular Vault restaurant will go before the Historic Preservation Commission at their meeting Monday.

Located at 2112 Bull St., the Vault is located in a former bank building that went through an extensive renovation in 2014, according to the project narrative. The renovations included the removal of the drive-through on the north side of the building and conversion of that area into an open-air dining patio.

The planned addition will replace the dining patio with additional indoor dining space on the back left side of the building.

The building was constructed in 1959 and is a non-historic building in the Streetcar Historic District.

Staff is recommending approval with the condition that a sign proposed for the addition be removed since signs are not permitted at that location on the building.
