Savannah Illustrated: Juneteenth in Savannah

While Juneteenth is worth celebration, it is important to prevent one form of bondage from being replaced with another. The Racial Equity and Leadership Task Force (REAL) presented their report to the Savannah City Council about eight months ago. The mayor and aldermen adopted the report on Nov. 9. Sometimes studies like these get put on the shelf. Let this post serve as a dust cover.
