Satire by Eric Curl
March 16, 2024 – Donning an assortment of traditional Key Lime colored outfits and accessories, thousands of visitors extended their celebration of Pi Day way past March 14 into the weekend, surprising city officials and math enthusiasts alike.
“It’s like the party will go on forever,” said one celebrant while enjoying a Shepherd’s pie in honor of the event.
Indeed, the turnout greatly rivaled the crowd size and length of any previous Savannah Pi Day festivals, an annual event the city is renown for due to its history of endless circles and unending debate.
Aside from the presidential primary, there really is no contest when it comes to popularity, said one official.
“We really hope to get other holidays such as St. Patrick’s Day up to this level one day,” he added. “That would be hard to imagine though.”
