April 18, 2025 – May 2 will mark the release of IMPACT Arts + Culture Magazine Vol. 4 No. 1, packed with an exciting roster of regional creatives including: Alan Rothschild, Founder of The Do Good Fund in Columbus, Ga. with an extended photo spread featuring Gordon Parks, Jill Frank, Lee Friedlander, Baldwin Lee, Sheila Pree Bright, Mark Steinmetz, Brandon Thibodeaux, and many more; award-winning writer, oral historian, and teaching artist Trelani Michelle in conversation with co-founders of the Savannah Photo Club; Noah Reyes’ interview with Amy Pleasant about her exhibitions across the South; Xenia Zed’s reflections on the life and work of American artist Nellie Mae Rowe; a Top 10 Creature Feature with Emily Llamazales, and more!

In The Ellis Gallery, we’ll host the Opening Reception for Tomorrow and Yesterday, Selections from The Do Good Fund, which brings together over 30 photographs from The Do Good Fund’s archive, a broad cross- section of celebrated Southern image makers working from the post-WWII era to the present. Our Supporter Gallery will feature the Closing Reception for Begin Again, a Spring Group Exhibition of fresh work by our community of Artist Supporters. In the ON::View Residency, we’ll host the finale for West-Virginia based Iranian artist Ainaz Alipour, whose digital installations and soft sculptures explore the interplay between digital and tangible forms, emphasizing cultural representation in art and its potential to challenge power structures.

Outside, on 39th Street between Bull Street and Desoto Avenue, we’ll host the Sulfur Street Fair, featuring local artists and vendors, live painting, DJ Miss Paradise, Pupuseria Jireh food truck and King of Pops!
