Nov. 1, 2025 — ARTS Southeast is now accepting applications for its 2026 Incubator Artist Initiative, offering one Savannah-based emerging artist a free yearlong studio residency at its Bull Street location.
The initiative provides artists with dedicated studio space, exhibition opportunities, mentorship, and professional development resources designed to foster creative growth and community engagement.
What’s Offered:
- Studio Space: A free 12-by-12-foot studio for one year, featuring gallery lighting and tile flooring. The space is located on the first floor of ARTS Southeast, adjacent to the ON::View Residency Studio, with high visibility during business hours and First Friday Open Studio events. The selected artist will have 24/7 access to the studio, including sinks and Wi-Fi.
- Exhibitions: Participation in three group shows in the Supporter Gallery during 2026.
- Professional Development: Complimentary memberships to ARTS Southeast’s Supporter Program, SCAD Museum of Art, and Telfair Museums, along with mentorship from the ARTS Southeast exhibition team and visiting ON::View Artists in Residence.
Expectations:
The selected artist will participate in monthly First Friday Open Studio events, volunteer 10 hours per month with ARTS Southeast, and collaborate with visiting ON::View residents to strengthen the local arts community.

All submissions will be reviewed by a selection committee composed of local artists, arts professionals, educators, and ARTS Southeast staff.
