About the Exhibition
Wilton Street Rhythm is an intricately woven collection conjured from the rhythmically poetic highs and lows of Miles Davis. This series of loom paintings guides the senses through the emotions inspired by Bitches Brew, So What, Miles Ahead, and much more.

“Wilton Street Rhythm starts at the beginning – before one can walk, one must learn to crawl. This is what Wilton Street is for me, the beginning of my artistic infatuation. I, like many, resort back to an origin for grounding, to a time when the worries of the world ceased to run rampant and pollute my mind. This is a safe space; the rhythm of making deserves a safe space. Miles Davis does this for me.”

– Gabrielle Torres
