Jan. 20, 2026 – Today is the last day for interested parties to submit proposals to Chatham County for third-party inspection services for construction of its new Multi-Agency Public Safety Facility (MAPSF), according to the recently issued request for proposals.

Chatham County is soliciting proposals from qualified, independent third-party inspection firms to provide comprehensive quality assurance, code compliance, and risk mitigation services for the remainder of the MAPSF project. The third-party inspector will function as an unbiased entity responsible for verifying construction quality, safety, and compliance with approved plans, applicable codes, and industry standards.

Proposals will be evaluated based on qualifications, experience on similar projects, understanding of scope, staffing, reporting quality, cost, and Minority and Women Business Enterprise (M/WBE) participation.

At the May 25, 2025 meeting, the Chatham County Commission approved an almost $79 million construction contract to Reeves Young, LLC for construction of the new Multi-Agency Public Safety Facility.

The Multi-Agency Public Safety Facility will be constructed at 654 Gulfstream Road adjacent to the Savannah-Hilton Head International Airport. The new facility will house Chatham County’s Emergency Operations Center, Chatham County’s E-911 Dispatch Center, a Non-Emergency Call Center (NECC), Administrative Offices for CEMA and 911, and the Savannah Airport Commission’s Department of Public Safety.
