Nov. 5, 2025 – A community food distribution event will be held this Friday, Nov. 7, at Memorial Stadium, where 1,000 pre-packed food boxes will be given away on a first-come, first-served basis, according to Chatham County.
The drive-through event will begin at 8 a.m. at 101 John J. Scott Drive, and organizers ask that participants not arrive before 6 a.m. Each vehicle will receive one food box, and the event will end once all boxes have been distributed.
To manage traffic, drivers should enter via Skidaway Road (southbound) and turn right onto Eisenberg Drive at Alee Temple to form a line.
Past food distributions at Memorial Stadium have drawn long lines of vehicles, with local volunteers working together to provide much-needed support to area families.
