Oct. 17, 2024 – I was one of many locals quoted in an ApartmentGuide column comparing Savannah and Charleston. (In return I agreed to feature a link to the article on Savannah Agenda.)

The article found that Savannah is “laid-back, with a more artistic and relaxed vibe”, while Charleston “offers a blend of historic charm and modern culture, with an upscale, busy environment.”

In addition, it found that Savannah “slightly more affordable, with job opportunities in art, tourism, and manufacturing, while Charleston has a larger, more competitive job market, especially in tech, healthcare, and tourism.”

The article also found that the average rent in Savannah is higher, while median home costs are lower.
