Feb. 12, 2025 – The Jenkins Athletic Club (JAC), a Savannah nonprofit youth athletic club for boys and girls founded in 1933, is pleased to announce registration is open for the 9th Annual JAC Clays for Kids. The Clays for Kids event benefiting the youth athletic club will kick off at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 28, 2025, at the Forest City Gun Club.
The Savannah community and clay shooting enthusiasts are invited to join this special fundraising event to support the growing needs of the nonprofit organization. All proceeds from this event directly benefit the JAC and its ongoing mission to provide safe and accessible athletic facilities and youth programs for the girls and boys of Savannah.
“Thanks to the generosity of community-minded friends like you, over the last eight years the Clays for Kids fundraiser has afforded the Club the opportunity to accomplish a range of critical upgrades to our facilities to better provide a quality experience for our young members,” said Mark Stevens, Clays for Kids Event Chair and member of the JAC Board of Directors. “For that, we are extremely grateful to have your support!”
This popular annual fundraiser event has also helped the youth nonprofit organization pay for a range of critical upgrades to JAC facilities, as well as new community youth programs such as its weekly after-school program, annual summer camps, and the growing youth sports programs including most recently its 93 individual participating teams for the 2025 winter basketball league for children ages 10 and under.
