May 20, 2025 – The month of May is rushing by, which means the end of the school year and summer are just around the corner. Seems worthy of celebrating, right?

Loop It Up Savannah thinks so. The local nonprofit is throwing a Cake Party fundraiser, set for 6-8 p.m. Saturday, May 31, at Collins Quarter at Forsyth Park.

“Loop It Up’s Cake Party will be a whimsical, fun event where guests can sample countless delicious cakes made by members of our beloved community,” Loop It Up Savannah founder and Executive Director Molly Lieberman said. “We are so excited to host this event in partnership with our friends at Collins Quarter Forsyth. Members of the community are invited to enter their favorite cake in our contest or simply join us for a relaxed evening of tasty appetizers, drinks and of course cake as we celebrate the end of the school year and raise funds for Loop It Up Savannah’s youth summer programming.”

The cost to attend the party is $25 for adults and $15 for kids 12 and under, which includes appetizers from Collins Quarter, and just about all the cake you can eat. If you want to bring a cake, the cost to register is $25, which includes an adult ticket to the party. There will also be a cash bar and chances to win some local artwork and other prizes.

“Hosting events for momentous occasions is something that we truly enjoy and find that we excel at. But the events where we can help support organizations that give back and make a difference is where we find the most joy,” said Sasha Nasrabadi, Director of Events for Southern Cross Hospitality restaurant group, which includes Collins Quarter. “This is a beautiful balance of fun and festive, and it’s a wonderful way to give back while enjoying a sweet treat – or two.”

Collins Quarter is sponsoring the event and all proceeds from the party will directly benefit Loop It Up Savannah, which provides creative education opportunities to well over 10,000 students every year. Their core programs include Mindfulness Zone, Looping Literacy Together and STEAM/School Gardens that together serve about 50 schools across the Savannah metro area.

“Our Cake Party is an event that will bring the fun and creativity we have all day every day with our students to the broader community, and we could not be more excited,” Lieberman said. “Eat cake, bring cake, support Loop It Up! See you on May 31!”
