Oct. 16, 2025 – Live Oak Public Libraries invites the community to attend Rhythm & Reads: A StoryWalk Family Fiesta at Lake Mayer Park Playground. This free event was originally scheduled for Sept., 27th during National Historic Hispanic Month, but was cancelled due to the threat of inclement weather.

Location: Lake Mayer Park Playground, 1850 E. Montgomery Cross Rd., Savannah, GA 31406

Details: Families are invited to enjoy a morning filled with stories, music, and hands-on activities.

Highlights include:

  • Launch of a new StoryWalk® title: Roberto’s Trip to the Top by John B. Paterson
  • Live performance by Venezuelan artist Tambores Bombaya, presented by the Savannah Music Festival’s Musical
  • Explorers Creative arts activities with Loop It Up Savannah
  • Family reading of Roberto’s Trip to the Top with Live Oak Public Libraries
