The Savannah Economic Development Authority is now planning on relocating to the vacant building at 906 Drayton St. that had faced demolition on at least two occasions. (read SMN article about plan) In August 2019, Bedford Falls Builders applied for a permit to demolish the office building.  Before that there was a petition to construct a 114-unit, five-story apartment building in 2017, but the developer withdrew a zoning request for the project after community opposition and loss of support from the Savannah City Council.
