Tran is also part of a Savannah-based development group that also acquired the former East Side Theater in February as part of a plan to renovate the building at 718 E. Broad St. and construct an apartment complex behind the structure, as previously reported.

The Rhino Hospitality Group, with Loan Tran, recently submitted a building permit application to construct a 3-story 41-unit apartment complex, Jardin Apartments, at 2613 Montgomery St. in the Thomas Square Streetcar Historic District. The two buildings were approved by the Historic Preservation Commission at the Feb. 22 meeting.
