Satire by Eric Curl

April 23 – Texas billionaire Harlan Crow is reportedly seeking to acquire public property formerly known as Calhoun Square as the city takes steps to rename the downtown park. While the city no longer wishes to honor a staunch defender of slavery and is soliciting naming suggestions from the public, Crow says he thinks the square would make a perfectly normal gift for his friend “CT’.

After taking your friend on luxury trips for decades, while also buying multiple Savannah properties to one day establish a museum in his honor, it gets hard to come up with new ways to demonstrate the value of your relationship, Crow said.

In addition, Crow said he had the “best idea” for a replacement after learning the city had removed the damaged Johnny Mercer statue from Ellis Square.

“If they are unable to repair the damage, I have just the fix,” he said.
