Oct. 8, 2024 – A local homeowner’s staunch opposition to paying taxes was momentarily lost as he collected piles of tree limbs and vegetation from his yard for the city to collect following Hurricane Helene.
The man’s opposition quickly returned after receiving his utility bill, he again shifted his position upon hearing news of Hurricane Milton approaching.
