Satire by Eric Curl

March 20, 2024 – Viewed on a daily basis by locals and visitors alike, the heap of debris alongside one of Savannah’s main corridor’s is gaining notoriety for its longevity and appearance – even as some residents call for the Bull Street rubble pile to be demolish… er, removed.

“It’s definitely one of Savannah’s most original looking landmarks,” said one passerby.

Carefully crafted in only seconds with the strategic swipe of an earth mover last July, the pile of bricks, rebar and concrete has become a fixture within the historic Thomas Square Streetcar neighborhood – an “artsy” community some call the Starland District.

“It is the coolest art installation I have ever seen in my life,” said one hip young resident. “Reminds me of Banksy.”

Rumor is the creators of the mass of pieces may be working on a new creation along East Broad Street. That vision could be presented later this month.

  1. Thank you for this, Eric. Hopefully, the city council will pay attention and decline to give the Foram Group another site to ruin,…develop!
