Satire by Eric Curl

Oct. 13, 2023- While some Georgia Ports Authority officials are advocating to deepen the Savannah harbor again, some say they need to go even further and dig straight to the source of everything we buy. Tunnelling to China is what they have in mind. While it would cost billions of trillions of dollars and even more jobs, not to mention undetermined impacts on the planet’s rotation and atmosphere, the country would basically be swimming in cheaply made plastic goods they don’t need. One congress member said it made no sense to just “scratch the service.”

“We have to think big, like Openhiemer sized,” he said.

While there may be concerns about mole men overtaking the nation, others noted that most Americans are too busy watching football to care.
