June 22, 2024 -“I’m a goddamn American”, Bob screamed.
He slammed his heterosexual-AF beer down on the bar counter.
“The Europeans”, he said. “The Communists.”
Bob’s head fell onto the bar.
Bob was all riled up because the Savannah City Council is set to again determine the future of the Civic Center.
The Johnny Mercer Theatre’s spelling sat wrong with him.
“Do you care whether the building is demolished or not”, an investigative reporter asked.
Bob sighed.
“Elvis played there in ’77, ya know,” he said. “I’m going to Graceland.”
