Satire by Eric Curl

Nov. 28, 2024 – Recognizing there may be some strong conflicting opinions this holiday season, experts are advising that local families avoid certain topics, including the ongoing DeLesseps Avenue street project, to keep emotions cool at the dinner table.

“If your cousin starts saying he thinks things are going to go great now that the city recently opened up a portion of Delesseps, politely change to the topic to something less controversial,” one expert advised.

Other topics to avoid include the Forsyth Park master plan, SCAD’s tax status, marathons, hotel development, zoning density limits and the potential stormwater fee.

“Best to just stick to politics and religion,” another expert advised.
