The city was shocked to learn after taking public comments the community would like the Civic Center site to be restored as a swamp following the arena’s pending demolition. Officials reminded residents that their comments would be taken into consideration, but the ultimate decision would be left to one person, the one who spoke really loud and texted and emailed constantly.
“That @#%&! will not shut up,” said one city official.
