Feb. 19, 2026 — Savannah Pride Center will host its 2nd Annual LGBTQIA+ Health Summit on Friday, March 6 at the Martin Luther King Jr. Civic Center. The full-day gathering will bring together healthcare providers, advocates, public health professionals, and community leaders to address urgent challenges impacting LGBTQIA+ health across Georgia and the Deep South.

This year’s theme, “Equity Under Pressure: Advancing Care Through Challenge and Change,” reflects the growing barriers to affirming healthcare, rising STI and HIV rates, increased mental-health strain, and the ripple effects of harmful legislation. The summit is designed not only to name these realities honestly, but to strengthen the partnerships and solutions needed to move forward.

“We’re navigating political turbulence and systemic gaps in care that directly impact LGBTQIA+ lives,” said Michael Bell, Executive Director of Savannah Pride Center. “This summit is about equipping providers and communities with the tools, collaboration, and resilience needed to respond — because equity isn’t optional. It’s lifesaving.”

The summit will feature two concurrent educational tracks, expert-led sessions, and networking opportunities focused on:

    •    The current state of LGBTQIA+ healthcare in the region

    •    Trauma-informed and affirming care practices

    •    The impact of policy and legislation on health outcomes

    •    Intimate partner violence and sexual assault in queer communities

    •    Substance use and eating disorders through a queer lens

    •    HIV and STI prevention and gaps in preventative care in Georgia

    •    The unique needs of LGBTQIA+ elders

Sponsors and community partners are invited to support the summit and help build a healthcare landscape where equity is not exceptional — it is expected. Registration and sponsorship opportunities are now open.
