Co-owner Liz Massey said on Sunday that being able to manufacture spirits is going to allow them to remain competitive in an ever changing and growing market, since Georgia breweries are currently only allowed to sell what they produce on-site, which limits their malt beverage offerings to beer.

Being able to grow into other areas of the industry, like recently adding Float Coffee, will help make sure  they remain a fixture in the Starland District for years to come, Massey said.

MPC staff is recommending approval of the request. Read what else is on the MPC’s agenda and who else is meeting in the latest week ahead.
