Artist Kara Adoff applied in October 2019 for a permit to open a bar, art studio co-op at 1930 Montgomery St. The building currently has a mural painted by artist Maggie Hayes of the first black heavy weight boxing champion, Jack Johnson. On Dec. 10, Adolf submitted an application for another mural at the site. It is under review. Her business proposal was approved by the Savannah Zoning Board of Appeals on Dec. 19, 2019.
