Aug. 24, 2026 – The City of Savannah invites the public to attend an open house discussion regarding the progression of the Canal District on Tuesday, Sept. 1.
Topics of discussion will include the neighborhood’s history and preservation efforts, a review of proposed zoning changes and interactive viewing stations where residents can provide real-time input and feedback.
Residents are encouraged to learn more about the Canal District at www.savannahga.gov/canaldistrict before attending.
Anchored by the SPLOST-funded Enmarket Arena, the Canal District is located on Savannah’s west side near the intersection of Gwinnett Street and Stiles Avenue.
