Oct. 8, 2026 – Forsyth Farmers’ Market will host its 2026 Fall Harvest Picnic from 3 to 5:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 11, at Daffin Park, located at Victory Drive and Waters Avenue in Savannah.

The event will feature locally sourced hamburgers, hot dogs, sides, desserts and vegetarian and vegan options. Attendees are encouraged to bring picnic blankets and lawn chairs to enjoy the food beneath the park’s live oak canopy.

The Savannah Jaycees will partner with Forsyth Farmers’ Market to offer children’s activities, including pumpkin painting and arts and crafts. Live music will be provided by Skip Jennings and The Fractions throughout the afternoon.

“Our Fall Harvest Picnic will provide the ideal opportunity to enjoy a delicious picnic at Daffin Park while helping to support Forsyth Farmers’ Market programs that make fresh, locally grown food available to residents throughout Savannah,” said Asia Harold, executive director of Forsyth Farmers’ Market. “We warmly invite everyone to join us for family-friendly fun on October 11th and to support access to fresh, local food.”

Formerly known as the Farm Picnic, the event was previously held at the Old Dairy Farm on Savannah’s east side. This year’s picnic will be held at Daffin Park for the first time.

All proceeds will benefit Forsyth Farmers’ Market’s year-round community outreach programs, which focus on improving access to fresh, locally grown food. The nonprofit organizes South Georgia’s largest farmers market and operates programs including 912 Food Farmacy and a program that doubles SNAP/EBT benefits at its Saturday market in Forsyth Park.

“Food has the power to bring us together and to nourish the Savannah community,” said Kristin Russell, Forsyth Farmers’ Market co-founder, longtime board member and owner of Sentient Bean and Brighter Day. “We hope Savannah residents and visitors will plan to attend the Fall Harvest Picnic and to help ensure access to fresh, local food for all.”

Tickets cost $35 for adults and $15 for children ages 5-12. Admission is free for children 5 and younger. Tickets are available through Eventbrite.

Local businesses interested in sponsoring the event can contact Harold at asia@ffm-sav.org.

Forsyth Farmers’ Market operates a year-round weekly market from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays at Forsyth Park, 13 E. Park Ave. The nonprofit supports local growers and producers while working to expand access to fresh food through community outreach programs.
