“We’re thrilled for the return of our annual Fall Arts Festival, which celebrates Savannah’s creative spirit,” Davenport House Museum Executive Director Danielle Hodes said. “We invite community members and visitors to enjoy live music, fun activities and an array of artisanal goods from local vendors and hands-on arts activities led by local creatives. We hope attendees will join us in the Davenport Biergarten for drinks, snacks and games.”

Festival highlights will include an artisan vendor fair and a collaborative community art project that invites attendees of all ages to contribute to a shared work of art. Visitors also can enjoy live music by local musicians and relax on the picnic lawn in the museum garden.

The first two floors of the Davenport House Museum will be open, with interactive activities connecting the house’s history with Savannah’s arts community.

The festival will also extend to Historic Savannah Foundation’s Historic Kennedy Pharmacy and the museum gardens. Savannah Agenda Mail – NEWS REL…

The Davenport House Museum is an 1820 Federal-style home that helped launch Savannah’s modern preservation movement. In 1955, seven local women organized to save the house from demolition, leading to the creation of Historic Savannah Foundation. The museum tells the stories of master carpenter Isaiah Davenport, his family and the enslaved people who lived in the home overlooking Columbia Square. Savannah Agenda Mail – NEWS REL…
