The Chatham-Savannah Authority for the Homeless submitted a plan on Dec. 23 to build 24 additional tiny houses at 75 Dundee St. The planned construction of the homes is the second phase of the tiny house community project, The Cove at Dundee. It comes after the construction of 23 tiny homes at the site in an effort to house homeless veterans. The community also includes clubhouses with washers and dryers, a tiny medical clinic, and gardens. The homeless authority is seeking donations and volunteers to help fund and construct the project. Savannah Morning News reporter Jan Skutch recently wrote about the opening of the clinic in this article from the Dec. 19 paper.
