After sitting vacant for about seven years, the historic St. Paul’s Academy building may soon be restored and put to use. The Savannah College of Art and Design recently sold the 121-year-old building for $920,000 to Chatham 38th St School, LLC, which is planning to rehabilitate the building for use as a 27-unit apartment building.
It’s Amazing’s closure leaves city owned building’s future open for debate

A new owner of this 101-year-old building on Victory Drive is planning on renovating all three condemned stories for use as a 12-unit apartment building. The proposal was approved with some conditions by the Historic Preservation Commission on Sept. 22.
