Satire by Eric Curl

Oct. 15, 2023- The Chatham County Commission District 2 candidates say their success will come down to one thing ahead of Tuesday’s runoff election. With an expected turnout of just one resident, the candidates are both relying on the support of voter Bob K. Jahemensan, a 95-year-old Wilmington Island resident who says he has participated in every election since “the Live Oaks were just saplings.”

As for who he will be casting his ballot for, Jahemensan said he is not even sure who is running and he remains undecided.

“I may just write myself in,” he said.
