The Chatham County Board of Elections is meeting Monday

The agenda is available to view. 

The Housing Authority of Savannah is meeting Tuesday

The agenda includes a staff report regarding the housing authority’s recent decision to terminate a development agreement for the next phases of mixed-income housing developments on downtown’s eastside, as reported by Savannah Agenda.

The Metropolitan Planning Commission is meeting Tuesday.

The agenda includes consideration of an amendment to the master plan for the Reserve at Savannah Harbor on Hutchinson Island. Atlanta-based Patrick Malloy Communities is seeking the amendment to combine 42 lots into 24 larger lots for the construction of single-family homes expected to start at about $650,000, as reported by Savannah Agenda.

The Savannah-Chatham School Board is meeting Wednesday.

The agenda includes consideration of state legislative positions concerning a range of issues such as sovereign immunity, the selection of the school superintendent and how lottery funds are used.

The Savannah Historic District Board of Review is meeting Wednesday.

The agenda includes consideration of alterations and additions to the former Wild Wings building at City Market. Staff is recommending approval after recommended design changes were made as requested by staff at the February meeting. The changes are being proposed to accommodate a new restaurant, Wexford’s Irish Pub, as previously reported.

The Tybee Island City Council is meeting Thursday.

The agendas for the regular meeting and special meeting on April 13 are now available to view. The special meeting  is being held for the city council to consider using eminent domain to acquire 25 lots on 4 acres in the area of Solomon and Estill Avenues and Polk Street for public works projects and growth of city facilities.  City officials say use of eminent domain is necessary after they were unable to reach acceptable terms with the property owner.

The Savannah City Council is meeting Thursday.

The city is once again preparing to support proposed affordable housing projects by offering support to the developers’ bids for highly-competitive state housing tax credits, as reported by Savannah Agenda.

The Chatham County Commission is meeting Friday.

The agenda was not available as of Sunday morning.
