Oct. 9, 2024 – The Savannah Historic District Board of Review is scheduled to consider a petition on Wednesday for height and mass approval of a 5 to 6 story hotel on a vacant lot at Tattnall and Liberty streets Staff is recommending that the petition be continued in order for the developer to make some amendments to the plan. (Editor’s note: This post has been corrected from the original version to reflect that a portion of the proposed structure would be 6 stories.) The Savannah Historic District Board of Review is meeting at 1 p.m. on Wednesday at 112 E. State St.

The agenda is now available to view. Go to the Metropolitan Planning Commission’s home page to register to view the meeting online.

The Savannah City Council is meeting at 2 p.m. on Thursday.

The agenda is now available to view. A workshop will be held at 12 p.m. before the meeting.

Due to an ongoing restoration project in City Hall, and a new phase of restoration focused on Council Chambers, all City Council meetings are being held at the Board of Education’s Whitney Administrative Complex. Remote viewing options include SGTV Comcast Channel 8, the city of Savannah YouTube page and the city of Savannah Facebook page.

The Tybee  Island City Council is meeting at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday at the public safety building, 78 Van Horne Avenue.
