Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, no reason is needed to request an absentee ballot and vote by mail. Ballots can now be requested online at the Georgia Secretary of State’s website.

Requests can also be submitted by completing an application and mailing it to the Chatham County Board of Registrars office (P.O. Box 13757, Savannah GA 31416), faxing it to (912) 790-1519,  or by e-mailing the scanned document to voter@chathamcounty.org. Applications can also be completed at the registrars office, 1117 Eisenhower Drive, Suite E, Savannah, Ga. 31406.

No absentee ballots will be issued or cast on the Monday preceding the date of the election.
