In 2015 Major Lee Scott was listed as the owner of 410 E. 37th St., a one-story brick building built in 1927 that originally operated as a service station. Major L. Scott died in 2007, according to this obituary. The building is listed by the MPC as a contributing historic buildings.
The now-vacant building had served as a car wash in more recent years. An executor of Scott’s estate sold the property to Honza Properties for $70,000 in 2017, according to the property record. Honza sold it for $250,000 to Paul Miller two years later.
Since May 2019, a banner on the fence surrounding the building has been advertised as the future home of a business called Means and Method, a concrete foundation and structure contractor, according to the state registration.
Major Scott is also listed as the owner of the commercial building built in 1970 that had housed a television and radio repair business at 2216 Habersham, according to the property record.
