Feb. 3, 2026 – Savannahherald.com is proud to announce the launch of Black History Savannah (https://blackhistorysav.com), a new online community event guide created to celebrate Black History Month across Coastal Georgia and the Lowcountry of South Carolina.
This free website highlights a wide range of events — from educational programs and art exhibits to performances and historical tours — taking place across 16 coastal Georgia counties and nearby South Carolina communities.
“BlackHistorySav.com was developed to connect families, educators, and organizations with meaningful opportunities to honor Black history and culture throughout the region,” said a spokesperson from The Savannah Herald. “We’re excited to make it simple for everyone to find and share information about these important celebrations.”
The events guide is updated daily, and citizens, community groups, and local institutions are invited to submit their own event listings directly through the website. This ensures a truly inclusive and comprehensive calendar that reflects the diversity and creativity of the region’s Black History Month celebrations.
